2008 Men’s Fall-Winter Collection of Gilded Age

On February 2nd the Woolworth building landmark was graced with the 2008 Men’s Fall-Winter Collection of Gilded Age.

No blaring music, no blinding lights, no runway of ultra thin models. The day's natural lighting acommpanied you into the lobby of the Woolworth building where you were welcomed by the smooth sounds of the Jay Collins Jazz Band. A few steps into the lobby and it became clear that this was not going to be your typical fashion show.

The main staircase served as the showcase for 36 handsome, healthy looking young men wearing Stefan Miljanic’s current collection which was inspired by "the lives and achievements of great American merchants and pioneers.”

The design of this presenta-tion allowed one to observe and appreciate the ease and comfort in which each young man interacted in his ensemble. It also gave you the opportunity to step up and feel the fabrics.

“Conductor” brushed cotton satin file coat, “GOP” organic, brushed heather jersey t-shirt, “Gild” Albini futura yarn French cuffs woven dress shirt, “Fitzgerald” cotton/wool 4 buttons blazer, “Aldrich” cashmere herringbone turtleneck sweater, “Patton” brushed slubby twill garment dyed relaxed chino…every fabric felt like a caress and each item easily fits into the life of any man.

Stefan’s use of names are reminiscent of one of America’s greatest era together with the revival of using yarn spinning and dyeing has resulted in a modern collection of timeless ensembles for men of any age.
